@RJinVegas: #CFB Week 1: USC -19 at Hawaii; Alabama -22 vs Virginia Tech; Clemson -2 hosting Georgia; LSU -6.5 vs. TCU [via 5 Dimes]

On the one hand 22 points seems ridiculously high. On the hand, I think I'd have to take Bama if I were forced to bet.

On a related note, VT's 2nd string defeated the 1st string in their spring game.

The only advantage that VA Tech has is that they have a new offensive coordinator but I dont think it will be much different from the same Beamer football we've seen before.

I'd take Bama to cover.

What did that OC do in his last game?

Yeah I'm not sure that a new OC is much of an advantage in this case. My only worry is that Logan Thomas comes out and has the game of his life like Garcia in '10 and Mett last year. I don't think it will happen, but you never know

If this guy

schemes up a way to beat UA, I'll drink drain cleaner.

Loeffler has absolutely zero weapons other than Thomas at QB. This is going to be a bad VT team.

I'd be surprised if they scored.
