I ask this with serious intrigue. Is there any chance that Mullen talks with Oregon? I remember when the Kelly to the NFL rumors first started earlier this month there was a little worry that Mullen would be interested in Oregon. Just wondering what you guys thought on the matter.

This is the first thing I thought of. He did go up there to learn from Kelly on the uptempo and the system. I think he could fit well there too and they can get him for relatively cheap. Time will tell

Maybe the way we finished the season will help us for once

Helfrick(OC) already promoted to head job...

Yes, if there was an open coaching search, Mullen would definitely talk to them...

Oregon is a weird coaching situation. Kelly was an outsider brought in there, but the rest of the staff remained Bellotti's. I don't think he actually hired a single assistant. Most of that staff has been @ Oregon for 20 years now...

It's Oregon. Why would they call Merlins? I will automatically dismiss any dumbass Mullen to Oregon rumors.

Just a similar system and mindset. I don't think he would leave this late anyway. Plus Oregon usually promotes from within and it looks like they're going to continue with that trend.

Was just curious to see what you guys thought.

One would almost think we're using the right plays for it, but using 900% too much time at the LOS for it to work..

They should give it to OC Mark Helfrich

It's already Helfrick's job.

Oregon law says they must have a "national search" meaning they must interview at least one other candidate before making it official.

Your mascot's name is Bully. So you are all Bullies. My dad (who is a State fan) has always called State the Bullies.

Sounds like your dad is an ok guy. Too bad his son turned out so shitty. He must be very disappointed.

I know. He is one of my favorite posters. The comment was tongue in cheek.
