Beuerlein says he believes it was a good showing for ND and that ND will be around and in the hunt now for years to come.
He made excuses for Teo saying all the distractions leading up to the game caused him to have a bad game.

I believe it had more to do with his looking like he was playing in knee deep water the entire game. Looked good pounding his chest in the tunnel though.

Brando says he talked to a conglomerate of ten (10) pro scouts after the game and they all agreed that LSU, South Carolina and Georgia would have beaten ND just as badly because of the running backs and/or defenses.
Then they started talking about something I cannot remember ever hearing of before, the "Punt Bama Punt" game against Auburn in the 70s maybe?
Then some caller called-in and talked about a Bob Hope joke on a preseason all-american show that can be found on youtube about the punt Bama punt game.
Somehow the show has now morphed into talking about SEC QBs that have been busts in the NFL but great college QBs ... and then their is Peyton.

Well, Bama beat Meeshigan the same way they beat ND and ND beat meeshigan too so I'm not buying the "we would have too". One team did it but if you want to hold the cape go for it.
