I would rather go after a good defensive guy that knows the SEC but doesn't have any HC experience just like Cadillac. Matt House would be fantastic hire for Auburn.

Cadillac seems like a genuinely kind and humble person who has a sincere love for his players and team that you seldom see these days. I don't get why everyone wants to shite on him so much. I know he'd probably make a terrible head coach at the D-1 level but all the hate and smack is unwarranted.

Agreed. I know him from high school and he was always a humble guy even when we all knew he’d go on to play for much better teams than we would. Why others want to take jabs at the guy is beyond me. No, he’s not going to be the Auburn head coach next year but I sure hope he moves up the ladder and can claim that title a few years down the line. What he’s doin right now is mending a broken team and showing the guys they still have something to play for. How could you hate on that?

Auburn is winning Saturday and the public response will leave them no choice but to take the interim tag off, ala Ed Orgeron.

Dabo was a position coach before being named interim then HC. Wisely or fortunately, he was surrounded by good coordinators (he fired Sunbelt Billy and replaced him with Tony Elliot). Both Dabo and Cadillac reenergized their teams and got the most out of their staffs.
