It really is. We can thank our spineless turd of a former AD for this.
Prior to the change this series in over 115 meetings had only not been in NOvember (or extremely late October I think) twice; the first meeting in February and the 2017 SECCG.
This game is supposed to be played in mid-november when it's cold and it's dark at halftime.

it is going to piss me off more when Auburn is back to being Auburn, but this game is meant to be played in cold weather with a lot on the line.
I have a feeling it goes back after Texas and Oklahoma join because we will lose UT as a yearly opponent.

I never thought about that but I hope you're right.
It won't change AU's original whining of "it's too hard for us to play uga and alabama within a 3 week span" btu hopefully by then level heads will win out and it'll go back.

Give us two years in a row in Athens while we’re bad and we can get this thing corrected

Wasn’t our complaint. How many times we go over this? No one wanted to move the date.
We wanted to play in Athens two years in a row to get the Home/Away of those two games back to where its always been.

I always think of this game being on the same weekend as LSU-Ole Miss, meaning the Saturday closest to Halloween.
Now our game date is also about to get jacked up thanks to expanding to include two unranked pantloads.

It was both. I am aware of the home/home vs home/away situation with uga/bama and that makes sense. But I'm almost certain that Greene said somethign along the lins of it being a disadvatnage for auburn to have to play uga and bama to end the season (which isn't entirely accurate). I mean why else woudl the league just all of a sudden swamp AU and UT in our schedule yearly? It was requested by Auburn, they wouldn't just do that for the frick of it.

This has always been GA/FL for us. That hasn't changed.

They wouldn’t switch the Home/away issue so they compromised with that and pissed off both fanbases

lol
what would be the SEC's rationale behind that though? Both AU and UGA want that home/home situation to get fixed, which can't happen til '25 at the earliest (that's also bullshite, it could be fixed but people just don't want to actaully do it). So waht would their reasoning be to say "well we aren't goingt to move locations, but we'll just move the game a month and half up the schedule instead"?

Auburn’s bitching about home/home away/away but we don’t want to frick with everyone else’s home/away schedules. So we just won’t make them do it back to back.

but that's the part that doesn't make any logical sense. AU doesnt' play UGA and Bama back to back, there's alwasy a Libtery or WKU or whoever in there in between. So then it boils down to "we won't make them play 2 hard games in a 3 week span" which is absolute lunacy.

Ok? Same thing. None of us were on board for either change so not sure why you try to blame us.
