I view Waddle not signing now as a good thing. I think if he signed on the 20th it seems like it would be A&M. Tell me where would he play next year if we got him? He not going to play over Smith, Jeudy, or the kid from Montgomery. So all the crying for none.

KJ Henry telling media that any school that hires his dad would be in good position for him.
I was pretty sure the NCAA within the last year put a rule in place about hiring family members that basically eliminated you from recruiting their relatives. Is that just a basketball rule, or is that across all sports?
**EDIT: I see now that the rule is only for support staff hires. If you hire a guy as a regular assistant it's ok.**

As a regular assistant. Is it even worth it?

So, Harbaugh is hiring Shea's brother as an on-field coach?

Actually Waddle not signing early is good news. A&M was feeling very confident. This is good news indeed that he's delaying.

It would depend on how many other recruiting relationships the guy brought to the table. I can't imagine the RB coach at Charlotte is a guy that brings a ton, but I guess you never know.

According to NCAA rules, if he is being hired by Michigan it has to be as a regular on-field assistant.

Here's the rule:
In football, during a two-year period before a prospective student-athlete's anticipated enrollment and a two-year period after the prospective student-athlete's actual enrollment, an institution shall not employ (or enter into a contract for future employment with) an individual associated with the prospective student-athlete in any athletics department noncoaching staff position or in a strength and conditioning staff position.
This definition includes, but is not limited to, parents, legal guardians, handlers, personal trainers and coaches. An individual who meets this definition retains such status during the enrollment of the prospective student-athlete at the institution.
I'd say yes, he has to be an on-field assistant.

I'd rather get Benito Jones or Breeland Speaks, given how the position is a great need.

Benito will need a waver to play next year if he transfers right? Hes a sophomore. Breeland is a Jr. Then question is will ole Miss put on restrictions of where they can transfer....earlier reports were they removed restrictions but when it comes to helping Bama i could see them placing them back on

So does anyone know if we are planning on going after any OLE MISS players??

We got a CB for the juco TE with the hyphenated name and 10RC got a CB for Langham. We know Sean our dline recruiting is not what we want it to be. Figured I could go ahead and get that out of the way.

Is there a specific thread for it over there? I can't find it.
