I hope they tweak the system. Tulane already lost 45-10 to Ole Miss. They aren’t playoff caliber, these G5 teams can’t compete. Boise State was one of the stronger G5 teams and Penn State dispatched them pretty easily.
Tulane and JMU don’t have a prayer. Get rid of the 5 highest ranked conference champions requirement, and just say the highest ranked G5 team can get the 12 seed and be done with it. No other guarantees

They could put them at 25, because they just beat a top 20 team. Did JMU beat any top 20 teams?

They could rank Duke one spot ahead of JMU and then Duke would qualify.

They actually won their conf. If anything a 5 loss duke has more right than Alabama and JMU, minus the rules that state JMU should be in.

You don't need to change the rules. You look at who would win between JMU and Duke on a neutral field.
This is why I want the BCS to determine the playoffs, but without the AP input, and insert Vegas. Then you wouldn't have any of this nonsense with an incompetent committee and TV bullshite. The problem is it takes away all the control from the moron executives, and we can't have that.
