Have these teams never won a conference championship?

I think Duke and Tech have been more recent than that, just off the top of my head. Maybe 1990's?

Indiana has definitely been awhile.

Guessing from memory here so I could be off a bit but

Tech - 1955
Indiana - 1944
Duke - i wanna say the 80's maybe?

Edit: actual dates

Tech - 1955
Indiana - 1945
Duke - 1962

Duke is 8-5 and they beat Virginia for the ACC Title. I wouldn’t consider that evidence of change. Texas Tech definitely loaded up, but they played a weak schedule, lost to the only comparable team they played. Indiana is very well coached and Mendoza is an NFL QB.

Minus Indiana(still questionable) their leagues are absolutely pathetic.

The SEC isn’t any better. Half the Sec coaches got fired. Football is just weird right now. Weird in the nfl too.

NFL is only wierd because a bunch of impact players got injured early in the season, and the refs stopped gifting games to the chiefs.

Otherwise, the declines have been very predictable. Too many contenders recently have been running it back with largely the same roster for 4+ years. All those rosters got 4 years older and 4 years slower. Younger faster teams are taking over.

I think college football as a whole looks less consistent since the TP has taken place.

Not enough reps with players that have been together for a few years.

It’s like patchwork every year all over again.

Kiffin was licking his chops when he saw the in state talent to build primarily off of and use the portal when needed for key pieces.
He can do that at LSU. He could never do that at Ole Miss and anyone that says different hasn’t paid attention.

Tech won something called the Border Conference in 1955. Never won an outright SWC or Big XII conference title before yesterday.

After Texas and Oklahoma had left. Let’s not pretend the Big12 is anything but the winner conference at this point

Or the next ones we buy. The world has changed in the last 5 years. We will see more firings by blue bloods and paying off huge coaching contracts while kids transfer to make money. I know it’s hard to believe to LSU fans but Vanderbilt and Duke alumni have endless money to spend on players. They are only just beginning to put their finances into athletes. If you haven’t noticed a difference in their programs then you are blind and/or stupid. The game has changed.

All four former Big 12 teams in final ranking after an SEC conference schedule. Not bad right?

Even more startling...James Madison, currently ranked #25, will get in the payoffs as the 5th automatic qualifier.
