Still think Bama would get in over Texas, but if not, I think recency bias more than anything.
Bama has looked worse the 2nd half of the season with this being the last thing the committee team sees. Texas has looked better the 2nd half of the season with the last thing the committee seeing is a win over a #3 A&M.

BYU was never in to begin with.
They were never going to leave Bama out and the fact that they kept pumping them up the rankings, especially after that poor showing against a 5-7 Auburn team with an interim coach, shows you what their intentions were. Plus Bama was left at the alter last year. They aren't going to do that two years in a row.
It's a debate between ND and Miami at this point.
