Is to say no more announcements until after the season?

At a certain point Kiffin could cost himself some money. If he did that, his other suiters probably have to bounce and seek other options. They’re not waiting until potentially mid January. And at that point, he also loses leverage with Ole Miss to ask for more money.

With the way that the schedule works with the portal window, LSU can’t afford to wait until January. I feel like, in this scenario, LSU would have no choice but to move in and there wouldn’t be a decision for Kiffin to make.

If no answer by 3:00 today then LSU should move on from Lane.

His decision is not based solely on money. Lane doesn’t know what it’s like to not be wealthy. His father was also wealthy and an NFL coach so the decision will be made based on coaching opportunity and what he thinks he can build!

I'd be disappointed because all this Lane Kiffin drama would be dragged on for more than a month.
