It’s not like Ohio state blew them out. In addition, they could’ve scheduled a community college like the rest of the sec and nobody would question crap.

Plus frickin Notre dame is in the playoff.

They don't have the resume and don't deserve it.

Playoff spots are earned, not given.

They pretty much dominated in each of their Top10 wins. Who else dominated three playoff teams? If we’re not putting the best teams in what are we doing?

You have three losses, two of which are terrible losses. You went to overtime with the worst teams in the SEC.
You simply don’t belong

It’s a twelve team playoff, about 7 or 8 of those teams don’t belong. Who gives a frick?

Because it isn’t an SEC playoff. It is a playoff with other conferences as well. And there are too many 10-2 teams that will throw a fit if a three loss SEC team is in. And they should

Where and against who?

Oklahoma deserves a place before uTX.

Haha. Let’s compare who SEC played in non-conference vs big 10:
SEC: Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame, GT, Notre Dame again
Big 10 OOC: Texas, OU. That’s it.
Don’t let SEC domination get you salty.
Oh, and the SEC was 11-3 vs other P4 teams this year haha.
The lion does not concern himself with sheep.

I understand. I’m a college football fan first, and I’m not even all that fond of the SEC. I watched the Cal vs Stanford game the other night from start to finish because I love that game. Though none of those teams really matchup in resume. Hell, no one does. Texas is loaded, easily top 5 roster full of underclassmen. If a couple games fall their way tomorrow, I think you have to give them the nod.

They need about six games to fall their way

Final score vs Vandy:
UT 37
Vandy 34
Total Yards that game:
Texas - 425
Vandy - 425
That’s about as close of a win as you can have. If it were at Vandy, I think Texas would’ve lost.

Then you add in being down 17 to Mississippi St (0-8 in SEC I think), then went to OT with Kentucky. Just not a CFP team this year. Maybe next year, not this year.

They lost to Florida and got blown out by 25 at UGA.

Yeah, sort of like UTEP and Sam Houston?
Here is the way it works for MOST teams in upper tier power conferences.
Most teams need to play SEVEN home games in order to make the economics of paying for the football stadium builds/upgrades and funding athletics in general for the entirety of the school's programs in other sports.
There are 12 total football games. Most conferences play an 8 game conference schedule (at least the SEC does for now) This means that out of that 8 game schedule, you will have 4 home games no matter who the mix of opponents are. This year, Texas A&M got off light.
Most teams also try to schedule two power-5 conference games with alternating home and away games within the same schedule year. Now we are at 5 home games with two additional remaining open home game slots.
Most teams will try to fill those final two open slots with a minor to mid-major team with no return away trip, and a low to minor state or "directional" school with a payday and no return away trip. Sometimes these games are dictated by state politics. This completes your 7 home games.
That's EXACTLY what Texas did this year. And Alabama as well. It is BS to complain about SEC schedules because ALL the top conference members do this the same way. And will continue to do so, at least until we get to nine conference games. We are going to see a LOT of contracts broken over the next few years.

A&M ain’t played nobody, first team they played was us, and we young, you gonna pull a cowboys with a first round exit

Probably. Any team that loses to a team like Texas is arse and unworthy of a playoff spot. Neither team is any good
