I think Sark publicly calling out the committees asinine rankings should help, but Texas still needs chaos tomorrow to get in.

It sucks that they probably won’t get a shot. It’s a bunch of young guys who are finally gaining some consistency.

The real question: Who will the Longhorns face in the first round?

Vandy > Texas 2 losses vs 3. Sorry it sucks bama got smu’d last year

Yall obviously don't belong in the playoffs this year and that's okay. Yall need to go beat a big ten team in the gator bowl and ride the momentum into next year. Unless arch's advisors are fricking crazy i dont imagine anyone is going to be pushing him to the draft this year. His last name will give him a better shot at that than he deserves but this really was just his first year starting and he seemed to get better.

They won’t even make the field

You think there are 12 teams that “belong”?

You have 3 fukin losses dude.
We can’t start to gage teams on how they play the final 3 weeks to get in the final 12, y’all should be prepared to sit this one out.
Everyone minus Indiana looks beatable though.
I think what we are seeing at Indiana and how well they are playing is a bunch of core guys have stuck around the program, and seem to be more of a complete team than other teams who have tons of transfers on their roster.
More consistent overall having practiced and played together longer.

Sark will throw a temper tantrum if they don’t make the field. Looking forward to it

The difference here is Texas actually beat Vandy and Bama never played SMU.

Umm I can’t see that happening

I do think Texas is the Bama of 2024.
The truth about what Sark said is that if Texas had scheduled Samford or Tulsa or whoever instead of Ohio St, and had exactly the same season, they’d be in the CFP at 10-2.
At the same time if you’re looking at the body of work then you have to look at the loss to FL and the close calls.
The reality is that we’re debating about who’s the 12th best team and not the top 4 when there are 5 undefeated teams. It was a bit of a travesty when FSU got left out. It’s not a travesty if Texas gets left out.
That said, the lesson everyone will learn from this is to not schedule tough out of conference games.

I wouldn’t expect any more of Texas fans and media. Honestly he should have just got up and walked out

Losses count too
It will be interesting to see how the committee ranks the teams next week. Like Sark said, if Texas scheduled a cake walk team (like most P4 teams did) they’re 10-2 and in. Instead they played Ohio State and are being punished for it. If they do miss out I suspect Texas will cancel the Notre Dame home and home in 2028-29
