My opinion, if you lose 2 games or more, you've pretty much put yourself at the mercy of a human committee and you get what you get.
Honestly, any #5 team and higher doesn't have an argument for a NC anyways.

At this point, a victory over us should just be a great upset for a mid-tier team, like we had against Bama in 2021.

Texas would have ‘best’ win and ‘best’ loss.
They have a bad loss to Florida and a ‘good’ loss to Georgia.
Not inconceivable. Compare that 9-3 resume to Alabama’s 9-3 resume last year that included losses to two 6-6 teams. Texas would absolutely be more deserving than Alabama was last season and Bama was barely left out.

What it will is make change either from our administration or the ncaa to put pressure on early season OOC games.

According to power rankings, I think Texas is the 2nd most difficult team you've played this year.
