Came over to borrow my fork attachment. Poor feller is pissed that Texas is favored to beat Aggie by 5-1/2. (So he says)
I told him lot of football to be played before we get there, but he seemed disinterested.
Then I told him I'll come over Saturday evening and explain why Texas is favored. Not sure he got it.

Texas is favored because the SEC wants to get as many teams into the playoff as possible. A 9-3 Texas will get in with Manning's name alone. It isn't right, but it is what will happen

Texas is a boring mediocre team. Sark is an ok coach who always seems a little unstable. Nobody outside of your fanbase really likes you.

Not 5.5, the line is actually 10.5!
Aggy is way worse than we thought.

Texas A&M has much better odds to win the national championship according to all of the sports book. Did y’all discuss that?

Realistically, best case scenario for the 'sips, the game is a push.
By Thanksgiving, the Aggies will be a lock for the playoffs, while the 'horns will be fighting for their lives.

The only part you left out is where you and him rolled around in the sack.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do you really believe a 9-3 Texas deserves a seat at the playoffs? If you do, you are delusional.

This won't happen, and this shouldn't happen. I don't mind missing the playoff if we lose 3, because we should miss.
The Texas game vs Georgia is for all the marbles as far as Texas is concerned.

He's got a 2-acre tank (lake) that I fish so I keep in good with him. He hunts my woods though (about 16 wooded acres) so we got it worked out.

It shouldn't happen. Agreed. Any three loss team getting into the playoffs is bad for college football. Not LSU, not Texas, not Alabama, or Georgia.
If BYU loses to Tech this weekend, that would give the Twelve two one-loss teams. I believe an SEC team with three losses should go over one with two from a weaker conference but not one. There is still a lot of name posturing in the playoff.
I would argue ND doesn't deserve a spot because they have no wins to point at. We know that isn't going to happen
