LSU, Auburn, Florida….three of the best college teams and not one hire…why?

Pressure?

Unrealistic expectations?

Competition of the SEC?

Result of NIL leveling things out and these jobs are not as prominent anymore?

Just seems wild. I know the Auburn firing just happened but I don’t see a quick hire there either.

They are waiting on Dabo to finish the season.

All 3 schools will hire him, and he will rotate throughout the season.

LOL

When they play each other he will just stand out on the field like a spring game coaching everyone up.

Well our AD is a dumbass. He should be very thankful that Billy Donovan got Todd Golden to come here.

Let’s see, most good coaches are focused on the rest of season and no school will hire any coach until at least Dec, closer to the conference chips games

I know my team sucks right now, but each passing year College Football become less and less desirable to stay into. The 2000-2015 plus or minus a year or 2 was the best. Im grateful I got to experience them as my college years, but Id appreciated it more had I known it would eventually decline to pro sports. Coaches and players change so much now that you cant even pinpoint who has skill and who has luck in their favor

Now I wonder why an Auburn fan would feel this way?

Florida has played the toughest schedule 2 years in a row. I know Napier wasn't exactly winning all his games, but they weren't actually getting boatraced each game either. 3 of the first 4 games this year for the Gators were USF, @ LSU, @ Miami.

Then they beat Texas after a bye, lost to #3 Texas A&M, and beat Miss St....then fired. Last year they went 8-5 against a very difficult schedule

I don't know what Florida fans expect...these seasons could easily have been 4 win seasons. They need schedule relief more than anything. Quit playing freaking Miami, open with East Carolina. Take page from Ohio State, and play your first 3 games at home. Open with a cupcake. It takes time to get back on your feet

Same with Auburn...they've been pure arse, but they had some close losses, to very good teams. I thought Auburn looked good at the start...but Auburn fans panic if they aren't Alabama good, so here we are

Brian Kelly could never get over the hump, much like James Franklin....just two fires eventually succumbing to high expectations

Dabo isn't succeeding in the new NIL era...he'd be an awful hire. The game has passed him by, and his former star D Coordinator is now coaching Oklahoma

Interesting thing is Venables is willing to play the NIL game unlike Dabo. Other than LR leaving OU, I wonder if at the same time BV was ready to get out of Clemson knowing they wouldn’t survive the NIL era?

The coaches you want will not take another job right now because their teams are competitive

The top G5 coaches are waiting to see if they make the playoffs

The top P4 coaches and coordinators are likely off the market because if you make the playoffs you miss early signing day and most of the portal window

So you don’t think it’s gonna be at the end of the season?
