One of the top coaches currently linked to the LSU job is Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin, who also worked with Orgeron at USC. Orgeron was asked Wednesday if he would consider returning to the program as an assistant under Kiffin.
“Yeah, I'd consider it," said Orgeron, who has been out of coaching since exiting LSU in 2021. "I love LSU. I still got my home in Baton Rouge. I loved when I was coaching for coach [Les] Miles being the defensive line coach. I love the Tigers, and if I'm getting back into coaching, for sure I'd consider it. No doubt.

I doubt Lane is scared of some stupid arse governor thats not even gonna be reelected in less than two years. That guy signed his death wish yesterday in the state of Louisiana.And yes, we are clearly going to pay Kelly or why would we have fired him? Y’all make me laugh.

And don’t forget that Austin Thomas is at LSU too and would be included in that reunion. Lane knows he is killer with NIL mgmt. I think people are underestimating that fact a little bit. Sam Petito is on staff too.
