He literally said he wasn’t hiring the next coach. Did you even listen to what he said?

What he did say is that he was not going to let LSU's AD do his job.

Correct. He said AD wouldn’t hire next coach, the BOS would put together a committee, and specifically stated he wouldn’t be making the hire.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

Last time Bama politicians got involved in Alabama and Auburn football business they were "encouraged" to start playing each other again.

Here's the timeline:

1) LSU hires new president
2) New president fires Woody
3) New president hires New AD
4) New AD hires whoever is left to coach
...probably Deion so LA can meet their DEI goals

You're welcome

Yeah, he came out and gave a press conference about the process of hiring LSU’s next Coach because he isn’t involved at all

That was then, this is now. I wouldn't be so sure if Tommy were elected. Auburn through-and-through.

He was asked a question about it at a Press Conference that had nothing to do with LSU sports.

I think he's a fricktard for saying anything but "no comment" as well but we can at least be factual .

In 1930, LSU was a small-time country school that generated little interest or attention in the state. Labeled a “third-rate” institution by the Association of State Universities, the school had an annual operating budget of $800,000.

Governor of Louisiana Huey Long initiated a massive building program on campus, financing these improvements by arranging for the state to purchase acreage from the LSU campus, which adjoined the grounds of the new State Capitol building.

To the consternation of his critics, Long essentially diverted $9 million for LSU’s expansion and increased the annual operating budget to $2.8 million.

He became the state’s most prominent ‘Tiger fan’ – coaching plays, giving locker room pep talks and personally recruiting top talent for the football team.

He did put the Sexton thing together pretty well. I believe below is accurate. Sexton has his hands in all of these hirings and Woodward is right there with him.

Woodward hired Jimbo at ATM and then moved to LSU and hired Kelly. Both of these knuckleheads had Sexton as their agent.

Sexton was apparently Stoops agent also so when Stoops was almost hired at ATM. Sexton was replacing a client (Jimbo) with a client (Stoops).

After all that has gone with Woodward, ATM, LSU, Kelly, Jimbo, Stoops, and Sexton, it's not a far leap to think there could be things going on behind the scenes where everyone is getting a piece of the pie.

The former AD of ATM, hired after Woodward, was Bjork. Apparently, he doesn't have an agent but he offered the ATM job to Stoops prior to Board of Regents approval so that move really raises some questions. Bjork is not the AD of Ohio State.

All of this proves nothing but it sure raises questions......

What are your thoughts on the process?

You thinking they just replace Woody and let the new AD handle it?

LSU Board of Supervisor's chair Scott Ballard was acting like he wasn’t expecting to be involved, and hasn’t even thought about the process.

Question, who do you think the BOS answers too?

I think the Governor should have not answered the question until a new President was hired (coming in the next days to weeks). After that let the new President/Board (Governor appointed Board) decide whether or not to fire Woodward and install someone else.

There was no reason to air any of that shite out publicly.

This shite in Lousiana is why ULaLa can't get an even break in terms of breaking into the athletic arena. The politicians there are all about LSU.

They should be the Louisiana Cajuns by now, and at least be in Big 12. But any shot at advancement will be squashed in Red Stick.

Not "Lafayette", and not "Rajin".... stupid.
