Ranking the SEC games this weekend (Week 10)

Things are starting to clear a little in the SEC championship game picture, but some upsets this weekend could really shake things up!
1. Vanderbilt @Texas (Noon, ABC)
Vandy is the conference darling while Texas is among the most hated schools in America. Arch has a concussion and is getting stopped by Austin police because they hate him while Diego is partying with Theo Vonn. Somehow ESPN is giving the Longhorns a 70% chance of winning this one. A Vandy loss effectively ends their SECCG hopes. A Texas loss effectively lifts spirits from Norman to College Station.
2. Oklahoma @ Tennessee (7:30, ABC)
The winner of this game stays alive in the playoff hunt (in Oklahoma's case, even if they lose to Alabama in a few weeks.) The loser is out in every playoff predictor scenario I ran. It doesn't get more must-win than that. Oklahoma was supposed to have a great defense, but then Ole Miss hung 34 on them and the Sooners looked like maybe they just hadn't played anyone with a pulse on offense. Can Josh Heupel knock his old team out of contention?
3. Georgia vs Florida (3:30, ABC)
Do we like teams that have fired their head coaches around here? Does Florida go on a UCLA-like run of upsets to close out the year? Doubt it. Stockton and Co. have looked very impressive lately, but DJ Lagway and the Gators juuust might have a little fight left in them. At least put something out there for the purveyors of the transfer portal to see, right?
4. South Carolina @ Ole Miss (7:00, ESPN)
The Gamecocks put a mighty scare into Alabama last weekend. Frankly, the Tide won a game they had no business winning. Does that motivate Beamer's boys to bring the same fire into Oxford? Or was the effort in Columbia a last-gasp effort of fading team? Hopefully Lane can take time out of answering Jimmy Sexton's calls to cobble together a gameplan.
5. Kentucky @ Auburn (7:30, SECN)
These last two are probably interchangeable. None of these teams are all that good and none of them have the added juice of playing a rival, or even a team they care all that much about. The biggest question about the Cats and Tigers is which team fires their head coach first? Is this a win and advance situation for Stoops and Freeze?
6. Mississippi State @ Arkansas (4:00, SECN)
Yikes. The Bulldogs had their hearts ripped out Saturday and could be in a death spiral for the rest of the season. Arkansas is actually pretty familiar with heart pains, even after firing Sam Pittman; the Hogs have lost their last three games by a combined 15 points. Are participation trophies really all that bad? Can we get some "Champions at Life" rings for these guys?
Here ya go, fellas! Hopefully a little football talk is welcome amid all the coach talk? Ah well, guess not.

Outside of the coaches on the nuclear bomb seat, that UK vs. Aub game has all the makings of a snoozer.
Bet that MSU vs. Arkansas game is entertaining though little is riding on the outcome.

The bottom two are definitely “friends and family” bowls

I know no one gives a shite but those are not bad football teams. Both teams have been in every game they’ve played this season. Except Ark vs ND

It seems like every week OU and Texas are top 3 in these rankings. How boring was this conference before us?

I'm just grateful to have football weather and college football games to watch.

Believe it or not most people enjoyed this conference much more before you two posers joined

I would swap 5 and 6 around, otherwise, I agree.

I appreciate it, but our game with Auburn should be dead last for anyone outside of the Wildcat and Tiger fan bases. Two teams who's fans are both secretly to hoping to use a loss here as the final excuse to can their coaching staff.

The latter.
One win left on the schedule.

Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Missouri are all off this week.

good write up, somehow I agree with ESPN on Texas beating Vandy. Not because I think they are a better team or better coached, it just feels like it has to happen.
Vandy is better and different, but going into Austin and coming out with a W? Not that different
