Strength of Record measures how you’ve performed against the SOS. SOS is just how difficult your schedule has been. So SOS is the main component of SOR, but it then looks to see how you did against the SOS.

Surprised by this, with that weak LSU team weighing us down.

how is SOR different than SOS? I can't keep up with all these different metrics.
Indiana's scheudle is laughable so it's crazy to me that any kind of "strength of" metric could have them in the top 3

There just aren’t many undefeated teams left and Indiana has won @ #3 Oregon, @ #15 Iowa and vs #30 Illinois.

How did A&M avoid Georgia Bama OU Tennessee Vandy and Ole Miss this season?
Posted on 10/28/25 at 12:15 pm to ManBearSharkReb
We looked into the future and knew how good all these teams would be. Then slipped Sankey a 20

I don’t even know what strength of record means

You’re upset at us for avoiding bottom tier teams?

Which is why they so low even with an undefeated record.

From their glossary:
SOR:Strength of Record rank. Reflects chance that an average Top 25 team would have team's record or better, given the schedule.
