Another BK anecdote:

This is from SI.com:
On a winter night in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Matt LaFleur and Robert Saleh thought they were invited to a party at the home of their boss, Central Michigan University football coach Brian Kelly.
Turns out, they weren’t on the guest list.
They were on the worker list.
"We shoveled the snow and parked all the cars," Saleh said. "Then, at the end of the night, we had to go get the cars again."
And then they went back to the tiny apartment they shared as graduate assistants and stood around their kitchen table—the one without any chairs.
"We decided that when we’re in that position, we’re never going to treat people the way we got treated," said Saleh, now the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator. "And Matty’s lived up to it."

Thought this was going to be something new from his time at LSU.

Not surprised in the least bit. It appears that a lot of people knew what he was like but no one was wiling to speak up.
Frick.

He wasn’t like around South Bend before he left. I work in aviation and could tell a few stories but I don’t think it would be a good idea.

I was aware of how Notre Dame fans felt about him, especially towards the end since one of my dad’s best friends is a huuuuge ND fan and he would talk about him. They did not like the guy. Always heard weird rumors. Anyway, when LSU hired him I remember being a bit surprised. Just never thought he fit, and then the phony arse southern accent and persona he put on really was so cringe. But in retrospect he kinda comes off as someone with toxic narcissistic tendencies and I think with coaching that can sometimes masquerade as being a cool hard arse. Nah, dude has no empathy. Saban has empathy and is a big softy, for instance. But I never heard anything truly kind about BK.

Eh, I can’t blame him for eating the burnt ends.

Maybe starting like 5 years ago.
Lots of stories from LSU about how rude saban was to most people

Ummm what?
The entire southeast of the country gave you guys hell for picking this douche. You obediently defended him no matter what the story. All of this was known for years.
Don't act surprised and innocent now

I think most people around here were more pissed about how he left instead of it being for him leaving. I get why he left for more money and less strict academic admissions but still ND has a much easier path to the playoffs than any team. I guess the a** hole bet on himself and failed.

Thats actually pretty funny. They were grad assistants. Just some harmless hazing.

Not all LSU fans were all in on Kelly. I'd say most weren't. Even after beating Bama in the 32-31 game, there was not a single LSU fan here I knew who was enthused about Kelly.

I agree. Would have been rude to walk out in the middle of dinner like Tuberville to take another job. Also no problem with making grad assistants do some extra work. They should appreciate the additional OJT.

I guess that's slightly better than the Tuberville Ghosting Method.

After hearing all this... it kind of reminds me of a story that we got here at OU after Howard Schnellenberger left Louisville and came to Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma press interviewed some Louisville people regarding Howard...
They asked this guy who was a Louisville tight end what OU players could expect with Howard as their head coach.
He responded with this...."Coach Schnellenberger works on a 'need to know' basis.... and he doesn't think there is much that you need to know.
