I hope he doesn’t come to LSU. I think he’s highly overrated. Good coach. Not an elite coach.

But the fact that he would absolutely dart to LSU from a playoff bound program that he’s led to 10-2 several seasons, is just hilarious to me.

Getting that overhyped piece of shite would be almost worth the melt on this board.

We won’t melt. We halfway expect it. The melt if y’all hire Kenny Dillingham though would actually be epic

LSU’s administration is a dumpster fire at the moment. BK 2.0 hire incoming.

I really hope that all the big money people at LSU feel the same way the LSU is above settling for Kiffin.

The melt will be bigger when he does not go to Florida or LSU

It would pale in comparison to the LSU melts over his inevitable game costing 4th down playcalling

The media and the mouth breathers on this board overhype the guy’s coaching prowess and would be PISSED if he goes to LSU.

Idk, I think Kiffin has been working on his brand as of late, and he’s finally got the engine going at Ole Miss and building that program and continuing to clean his reputation as a serious ball coach are more attractive to him now. I think it would be in his longterm career interests to at least stick with OM longer and get in the playoffs. The turbulent nature of working at LSU vs the comfortable setting he’s in now at OM, if he’s really smart he won’t take it. After the humiliation that was the USC experience, not sure if he’s down for the pressure of being fired and trashed on if he for some reason does not meet expectations. But who knows, could be wrong.

I don't think Kiffin is leaving for either.

Ole Miss has South Carolina, Citadel, Florida, and State remaining on their schedule. Those should be 4 wins, which puts Ole Miss clearly in the playoffs and maybe in the SECCG.

Both Florida and LSU will be looking to hire a coach in early December, and can't imagine he would leave Ole Miss as they would be preparing for a playoff bid.

JMHO.

Yalls best hope is an hour and a half from campus but they’re going to want to hire a big name.

The biggest melt will be if he goes to Florida, the 2nd biggest will be if he stays at Ole Miss, and the smallest melt will be him choosing LSU.

That said, my prediction on the chance he does either of the 3.

Stays at Ole Miss 60%
Goes to LSU 30%
Goes to UF 10%

The melt if he stays will dwarf whatever melt you think will happen if he goes to LSU.

He clearly wants to dance with Prime, Saban, and the Duck on those Aflac commercials. Maybe even promote some vacation properties around Baton Rouge. I hear it's lovely there this time of the year.

No, the melt will be when LSU realizes that coaches everywhere aren't lining up to come to Baton Rouge. Woodward will end up offering boatloads of money to another "established" (ie over the hill) coach and have to put another giant buyout in the contract in order to get them to come.

I don't see Kiffin leaving Ole Piss. He has them rolling. He will probably get a raise. gets along well with the boosters.

Why would he want to step in to a program with rabid boosters and fans making life even more miserable? Let's face it, BR isn't near as nice as Oxford.
