Nobody wants to touch him due to his background, but he's won just about everywhere he's been. He's already won in the SEC before. He's also better than a lot of these unproven names I'm seeing thrown around. You can't really blame him for the shite show that Pittman left him with. He needs his own staff. He still knows how to run an offense.

Arkansas should just stick with him. He's better than anyone they can get and they've already taken whatever they were going to get for his baggage

I agree. His offenses are always going to be a threat in the SEC. All he needs is a DC. With the right hire, he can use the portal to shore up that side of the ball. He's currently got a mess to clean up, but he's already proven he can do it before.

other than the part about Pearl winning multiple SEC championships and getting to a couple of final fours, while petrino was scuffling around at Western Kentucky and Missouri State and getting fired from Louisville for sucking, great analogy

I don't remember Bruce Pearl not saying goodbye to the Atlanta Hawks during the middle of his first NBA season.

Well, he never coached the hawks, so that’s probably why.

Cool. So if someone is ever compared to Saban, they will have have had to have coached the dolphins.

Spurrier? Washington.

That's an apple to oranges comparison.

Bobby Petrino coached in the brutal SEC West with the GOAT in the same division and had Arkansas competing at a very high level. SEC Football at its highest level is a completely different animal than SEC Basketball.

but won 0 championships and got fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate employee and attempting to cover it up, then spent a year at a G5 school til he got his original HC job at a P5 school back, only to get fired for going 2-8

compared to Pearl who lied to the NCAA and got a show cause, then was hired by a P5 school and led them to multiple SEC championships and their highest levels as a program before retiring

which completely undermines the entire premise of the OP
