LSU has witnessed that in the age of NIL you can completely burn down and rebuild

an entire program, coaches and players, in less than two seasons

What is happening at Texas A&M gives Hope to programs that are struggling

The days of five years for if you’re lucky to rebuild an entire program are over

If you have the money, and LSU has the money

These delusional goobers are going to be pissed when they hire the 2025 version of Sunbelt Billy.

Question becomes who will they hire - and what coach is going to be willing to walk into a job like that knowing they have 3 years to figure it out - regardless of whatever mess there may be behind the scenes.

It's an interesting predicament a lot of big schools are now facing.

LSU will never inherit a schedule like A&Ms 2025 schedule.

Yes. A&M and Indiana are giving hope to all these schools out there. You can be a fringe elite program like A&M, spend big NIL on both high school and portal, and turn your program around in 2 years.

Or you can be Indiana. Bad history. Bad natural recruiting area. But…..hire the right guy and get your big money alumni excited. Spend big on the portal and locking up your coach.

Yeah you have to have money, so not everyone can do it. But the ones that do in the P4 are wanting to roll the dice. Hence the coming record number of coaching changes

Finding the right coach is hard lol and expensive if you’re wrong lol

I don’t know. BK would need to help them out and take a smaller buyout. If LSU is on the hook for the full 53 mil then I can’t see it happening. That’s just to get rid of BK. Don’t forget that LSU will need to buyout the current staff too. Then they will need to go hire the new guy and his staff. No doubt the new coach will want a bigger commitment to NIL money. FSU is in the same boat as LSU. Pretty much if the current coaches of LSU and FSU doesn’t help them out with smaller renegotiated buyouts then it is probably not doable this season.

And yet ESPN says Texas would have less than a 2% chance of being 8-0 with Aggies schedule
