Kiffen responded "thats why we couldn't score on yall in second half"

This happened right after the game finished.

This was on national TV. How bad is this player from Oklahoma getting it from his coaches and teammates beings he was shitting on his own team.

Saw it. Had a teammate usher him away from Lane. Lane said that kid had been yelling at him all day or something to that effect.

Except that the on-camera exchange bears no resemblance to the purported exchange described in the OP.

Apparently, the player had been mouthing-off at Kiffin on the sidelines during the game, to the effect that Mississippi could not move the ball against the Oklahoma defense. Post-game, Kiffin said to him "You are a lot quieter now than before."

Yeah, but that's not what I heard.

I heard Kiffin say something about "They aren't as loud as they were in the game" or something to that effect, mentioning the dude talked trash multiple times during the game.

Damn, I hope that’s not true. That definitely wouldn’t be in keeping with the OU I’d always known.

Sometimes you’re gonna lose (and if you notice my school, I’ve learned this over and over and over….unfortunately) but damn….you can still always maintain your dignity in that uniform you’re representing and your teammates and the people who pay good hard-earned money to support you.

ETA: ok, sounds in reading additional comments, that’s not the way it exactly went down. Good. The OU I’d always known wouldn’t put up with that.

It didn't happen like that but was a funny exchange.

Best part was Lane putting out feelers for next year's transfer portal when he transitioned to acknowledge the other OU player "as one of the best CFB players in the country."

Always working.

How strongly do you feel about the rest of the season for Nebraska? Do you like your chances to win 10?

In the post-game presser, he added "I bet he is a joy to coach."

That kid, David Stone is the real deal on the field...aside from some antics, and discipline. Homestate stud, who got a king's Ransome to stay home, and another after the spring portal. Sounds like his family is treating him/OU like a cash cow behind the scenes. It'd be interesting if Venables could even discipline him, for fear he'd leave. Kid's attitude needs to be addressed, but welcome to college football in 2025 ¯\_(?)_/¯

We’ve improved in many respects (relative to most of the past decade) but our Achilles heel continues to be trying to live life as a finessed, primarily passing team in a conference built mostly on a physical ground and pound style that used to be our bread and butter.

We’ve got some good skill players and our Special Teams has improved by leaps and bounds but our line play continues to be a weak link and that’s no way to live life in the long term.

Our best bet to grab a couple of more wins is UCLA and maybe taking advantage of a reeling Penn State team. USC will probably unfortunately be able to name their score and our passing offenses and propensity to self destruct have been tailor-made for Iowa’s patient, plodding field position style.

I see maybe 8 wins and another bowl game that’ll be good for the additional practices and experience.

I’d be thrilled with 10 wins…but probably another year or two away before that would become a genuine letdown and disappointment if we didn’t get there.

And that’s all on the assumption Ruhle stays and doesn’t go to his long-time dream job in State College, PA.

Saw that, was a bit awkward but funny. Lane was speechless for a second.

That was David Stone, a 5* DLine recruit from a couple of years ago.

We don't always see it but Lane truly is the hardest working man in CFB.

No, he would not.

There was an exchange, yes.

But it bore no resemblance to the fantasy posted by the OP.
