Lousiana always was rich in football talent. Saban built his dynasty from the talent there. Which school(s) benefits the most regardless of if BK stays or leaves?

I would think Alabama would be in a good spot to take advantage of the situation.

Every player is going to Indiana, they're going to win fifteen straight titles then they're going to shut down college football

Sounds like Texas Tech spent the most last year.

Believe they paid a million for a softball pitcher too.

With Saban gone, they will continue to go to LSU.

Education matters to very few in these NIL days, I am guessing.

So I graduated high school in the late 80's.

What I remember at the time, A&M and Fla State were the two biggest options.

**Note, at that time neither were SEC schools, so going there instead wouldn't help LSU, but wouldn't "hurt" it in-conference either... a kid wouldn't be facing potential family conflicts with die-hard LSU fan family members during holidays or offseason. But they seemed to be the 2 closest bigtime programs.

I don't know how much a family being "LSU" plays into things now, probably a lot less. But with A&M being in the SEC instead of the SWC, that might come into play. And Fla State isn't as good as they were back then, something a kid might consider.

I suspect the LSU power brokers are thinking along the same lines as the OP... program appears to be in disarray and about to lose it's recruiting juice. So despite the buyout, I think LSU is going to make a move for a new coach now/this year, to try to prevent that exact thing from happening. Basically, the buyout is a lot of money, but not as much as what would be lost if LSU drops into the 5-7 loss tier annually.

That’s ridiculous. Saban won 1 title there in a 2 loss season.

The only dynasty he built was at Alabama. 3 national titles in 4 years and 6 in 12 years

Down-voted a lot because it's true.

Our next Heisman after Ty may well come from Kelly's group.

What I meant was that Saban got a lot of players from the state of Louisiana to come to Alabama. That’s why it was so important for him to beat LSU regularly to keep the momentum going and nudge kids that were on the fence to come over to Bama.

With a lot of Louisiana players.

DO try to follow the conversation.
