If Kelley plays a clean game and LSU just loses a close game against the Aggies, but doesn’t get embarrassed, is he gone?

I mean all bullshite aside. A&M is good.

Losing a close game isn’t the end of the world.

Thoughts?

He lost the fanbase already. It remains to be seen if he gets fired this year or next year, but nonetheless he lost the fanbase. The only chance at temporarily winning the fanbase back would be by winning the next 2 games, which seems highly highly unlikely.

To be honest as soon as a heard him speak and introduce himself I could tell his persona just wasn’t going to connect well at LSU. He’s a polished smooth talker and that just pisses y'all off.

Do the players want BK?

Could they sandbag and ensure BK's demise?

When he said the fans and media are spoiled, he signed his own death warrant. When he lost a second game after that, he started the clock on the end of his tenure. If he loses 3+ of the remaining games, enjoy the shite show.

All bull aside. LSU could win all its remaining games. You have awesome talent. If you win against us, it may actually turn things around. That absolutely could happen.

We could also hang 50 on your arse. So there is that as well.

I see a close game. And I see you winning at least 8 games. Possibly 9. Maybe ten if you beat us.

You just dropped some early. I think Vandy surprised you.

Beyond the sheer buffoonery of Kelly’s fake accent intro, there were some real red flags about how insecure he is and how little he thought of the fanbase.

Saban didn’t need a southern drawl, he just won and the fanbase loved him.

He actually thought so little of the fan base he could fool them with a ridiculous accent.

He’s an insecure coach who’s never won big enough and blamed others for his failures.

Both of LSU’s losses have been 1 score games. When you come into the season saying this is the best team you’ve had and play your way out of the CFP in October, nah, he’s not going to get a pass for another close loss

I tend to agree. Not a Bama fan or anything but they are playing the best ball in the conference right now. Kelly could have afforded the loss to Ole Miss. but the loss the Vandy was enough for fans because they know it gets a lot tougher now

He made a major mistake in promoting from within an unqualified OC to get a recruit. It bit him in the arse and looks like that mistake may end up costing him his job. It’s really that simple. A CEO head coach has to have experienced coordinators.

All the sideshow stuff about “not a fit” isn’t what’s gonna do him in. All LSU fans care about is winning, regardless of “fit.”

That said, he has an opportunity to get the train back on the tracks. No one is expecting him to do so, and there is little hope that he will, but there is a way to do so… Step1 is Saturday against A&M. Step2 would be in Tuscaloosa. No one - and I mean no one - thinks Kelly can win these 2 games, but the whole narrative completely changes in the unlikely event that he does.

The most likely way this plays out: LSU ends the season with 3-4 losses, total reset of the offensive staff, find a mobile QB in the portal, and Kelly gets one more year to show something. LSU probably has a new coach in 2027.

Ole Miss (as a minimum) could have kicked a field goal. We got mercy kneed. Vanderbilt could have scored a touchdown. We got mercy kneed. You my tSECRant baw. But neither of those games were close. We got our asses beat.

What do you mean by a clean game? No loss is clean. That usually means there were problems somewhere. Things like the play calling was crap, defense couldn't stop anyone, too many turnovers, too many penalties, clock management problems, got dominated physically from the other team, can't convert 3rd downs, can't be balanced, and so on.

When cfp was the minimum expectation for this year and the team ends up 8-4 9-3 again it's a failure for the year. The next couple years right now aren't looking promising for the cfp.

This isn't about just losing against a good team. It's the trajectory of the program. Right now it's unacceptable and LSU shouldn't settle for 8-9 win seasons as their ceiling.

LSU wins Saturday. Don’t know how the BK situation will work itself out, but Tigers beating A&M in a night game in Death Valley, well that’s just a no brainer. All the pressure is on A&M and they don’t even realize it. Tigers by 10. Offense finally opens the bag and finds the old binder. I think Bama will be in a dog fight with them, as well.
