Or have they just played an entire schedule against dog shite offenses? Or both

Scoring offense of Oklahoma opponents through 8 weeks

Illinois State (.500 team in a lower division so useless for comparison)
Michigan 70th in scoring offense
Temple 44th in scoring offense
Auburn 96th in scoring offense
Kent State 127th in scoring offense
Texas 80th scoring offense (scored 23 and beat them)
South Carolina 116th scoring offense

Average scoring offense of opponents minus the FCS one 89th

Im inclined to believe that they are a very good defense because these teams have all been terrible but Oklahoma is holding them to even less than their pitiful averages, but until i see them stop someone who's actually good at offense, there is no way to tell if they are elite or not. We will find out if they are the real deal with Ole Miss

Not as good as our stats yet one of the better ones in SEC.

Sat we’ll see OM move the ball more than other teams have and then we’ll see how red sone D does.

Our DLine is filled with studs so its a cat and mouse game. Can we get to QB before he finds someone open.

One thing looking back at BV/Clemson once je got their D in top 10 he kept them there until he left. BV has a deep bench on the Dline which allows rotations to stay fresh the whole game.

OU leads nation in tackles for loss and sacks. So OM will need to use short passing game and they have one of the best TE’s in country.

I’m looking forward to the game.

Ole Miss has a stellar offense. We'll see if your cope holds up or not tomorrow.

My opinion, they’re the best defense in the SEC this season. I’d put Auburn a close second.

On the flip side our rush game has been slow to develop but here’s the opposing rush D stats we’ve faced and will face.

National Rushing Defense rankings (as of Oct 19) of OU’s SEC opponents:

So far:
Auburn: #10
Texas: 5
So Car: 75

Still to come:
Ole Miss: 99
Tenn: 54
Bama: 84
Mizzou: 7
LSU: 41

Dude! 7 were from a special teams punt return nothing to do with D.

Only 7 via O TD. 9 pts by field goal which means they stopped them from TDs.

I stand corrected. They gave up 16 to Texas.

Too many forget how good Auburn D is. All they lack is a competent QB.

not really a meh question. people are talking about this Oklahoma defense like its generational. Looks good on paper, but then again Arch Manning was able to outplay them so thats pretty contradictory. Hes a 59% completion passer against the conference this season, and he completed 21 of 27 on you guys, and 1 of his 3 conference passing tds was against you

16 (7 on a punt return), but yeah.

OU has a technically sound, well coordinated defense. I don’t consider them elite or dominant, just really good. Texas leaned on them in the second half. They’re not in the same class as last year’s Georgia defense or Ohio State’s defense to my eyes.

That game is always a wildcard. It was similar to last year’s season. Our QB never practiced for the game and was obviously playing hurt. Not moving ball puts pressure on D. Can’t stop them all game long without offense.

But OU still led at halftime. One score game until the punt return TD in 4th.

Tomorrow will be a bigger test. OM QB is much better than Manning.
