Your recent run of excruciatingly close losses reminds me of the 1998-1999 LSU run. Mathematically I knew it would happen again to someone else eventually, and here we are.

1998 losses
27-28 to Georgia
36-39 to Kentucky
31-37 to Ole Miss (OT)
16-22 to Alabama
36-39 to Notre Dame

1999 losses
22-23 to Georgia
16-17 to Mississippi St.
17-23 to Alabama

A total of 8 one-possession losses in 2 years.

Auburn has had 9 one-possession losses over the past 2.5 years, so very similar.

If you want to know how it ended or what the cure was, we hired a pretty good coach after the 1999 season

It means Auburn is a loser like you guys were before Saban fixed your program. There's not anymore Sabans out there. And if there were would he go to Auburn?

Auburn has been dealing with mediocrity rot since 2014.

As a fan that just wants to see a decent offense I have been in hell since 2015.

The last few years have been unbearable but not seeing signs of immediate relief.

I held out for Freeze hoping he was just trying to get us through growing pains of a modern passing offense, but that backfired. He not only failed but the admin is going to be desperate to find an offense looking for three yards and a cloud of dust. RBU Gods will forever torment us.

I personally believe my Auburn brethren has been sinning and that's why I am being punished.

karma

2010

AU vs Miss St - 17-14
AU vs Clemson - 27-24 OT
AU vs Kentucky - 37-34
AU vs LSU - 24-17
AU vs Alabama - 28-27 returned missed field goal for td 0 time left
AU vs Oregon - 22-19

besides the Alabama game, a few more of those were scores in the last minute of the game

We lose close games because of coaching. Coaching is the complaint.

Uh. No. You’re an idiot. The Kick6 was in 2013. The 2010 game was when Auburn came roaring back after we figured out bama had our signals. Spotted you 24 points in your house and still beat you.

ok. The kick return was 2013. So yet another close game.

2010 was still the most bizarre game I have ever witnessed.

One of the UA rbs (I think Ingram) was open and running down the sideline for a td. He was on about the 20 yard line and no defender between him and the td. An Auburn defender behind him, though, desperately punches the ball out of the rbs arm. The ball bounces straight down the sideline for 20 + yards, as if on a string, then bounces out of the back of the endzone. Auburn's ball and I think they even got 2 pts for it. Even a field goal would have sealed the 1 point game.

Another UA rb, I think Richardson, dropped a td pass on the goal line, and Richardson was a damn good pass receiver rb.

UA is on about the Auburn 3 yard line and McElroy fumbles the ball. The ball lies on the grass for what seemed an eternity, as 2 Alabama linemen right beside it have no clue. The Auburn guy runs around the 2 UA linemen and falls on the ball. A field goal would have sealed the game.

Just a bizarre game. Far more bizarre than running back a missed field goal with no time on the clock.

But that's the point. These close games this year that you guys are complaining bout is just karma for that voodoo you've enjoyed for eons.

What has happened to the poster Auburn Tigers? He posted a lot for the first two weeks of the season and then disappeared.
