What does Texas do with Arch

Not a troll post. It is genuinely an interesting situation. I watched most of the Texas - Kentucky game and Arch Manning is simply not a good quarterback.
For most other QB’s, he would be benched for at least a time, but Texas is stuck in a way due to Arch’s NIL as well as his name. Sark is in a predicament. If he benches Arch, then you might have some higher ups/Mannings not happy, which is not good for the program, yet if you leave him in then your offense is crippled.
Arch seems like a decent kid, so I am pulling for him when not playing A&M.

Portal him to Ole Miss and watch him excel.

This does beg the question. Lots of assumptions below. Just spitballin'
Supposing Arch is playing because Sark is being directed to play him . .
Does this also imply Sark is protected from any fallout if Arch continues to underdeliver?
I think for optics, it doesn't. Sark might have his neck on the chopping block without any protection.
Regardless of the case, Sark should be coaching his arse off, tailoring the offense around Arch's strengths and improving his weaknesses.
I doubt we will ever know the complete story. Probably a few dollars involved.
Arch seems like a good kid.
Hope the steers continue to lose.

Portal him to anm just to watch em throw their current QB under the bus.
Aggy doesn't know much about anything, BUT they know a lot about throwing QBs under the bus.

This is a troll post but there is a decent discussion to be had. Arch clearly hasn't lived up to expectations, but there's also blame to lay at the feet of the coaching staff and OL. That said, Arch's future at UT will probably be determined over the remainder of the season.

Very possible that the Texas AD is just as deep in the Arch thing as Sark is. Which means Sark is safe (unless he gets fall guy'd)
However, another issue is that Sark has had Arch under his tutelage for 2.5 years, and Arch has shown that he has the raw material. A second big problem is that Sark did not recruit/portal any OL during the offseason, which is now a disaster.
Third strike against Sark is he has this flippant California way of dismissing asswater performances, and gaslighting reporters/fans.

Yes, the condescending tone that he uses for a guy who actually hasn't accomplished anything of substance is off putting.

Sark currently has a 62 % winning average as a head coach
I really don’t see this getting any better

And he had worse than that when he was hired. So I never understood.
The only thing I can figure is that CDC (Texas AD) is heavily manipulated by buzz names and bling-bling over substance.
Sark has always had the media on kneepads for whatever reason.

Texas has the defense to compete for a national championship right now, I just dont understand how Sark went into this season with a project qb when they had all the other pieces to possibly win a national championship. Arch has been in the program for over two years now, Sark had to have known he wasn't ready for sec football.

Would that be like benching Ewers for Manning last year or Major Applewhite for Chris Simms? Both cases of famous family names being played under pressure from the Texas big money donors instead of the better player.

Do players have buyouts now?

The Manning family is not interfering with Texas offensive personnel decisions so you can trash that theory.
Thats just not how Archie, Olivia, Cooper, Peyton and Eli do things at all.
Its all on Sark if Arch keeps starting.
No sane booster would be demanding he continues to start either.
Its on Sark 100% at this time.

Arch is headed to the rubbish bin of history. He should have gone to a smaller program and cut his teeth.
Irrational expectation on him.

TX is stuck with Arch the same way Bama was stuck with Milroe.

Yeah the booster interference talk is nonsense. Sark is going to ride with Arch forever because not doing so would mean Sark isn’t some offensive genius QB whisperer.

It's worse what is happening right now. He needs to sit the pine. The backup came in for one throw against OU (I think?) and threw an 18 yard dart
