They really ought to ride Billy the rest of the season (make him eat the likely UGA loss anyway); doesn’t that lower the buyout?

Between Penn St, FSU, Florida, Wisconsin, etc there are definitely more jobs open than qualified candidates. Going to be a wild coach change season

I would be good with this as well, but then you run the risk of what happened last year all over again.

If Kiffin is the target, why fire Billy now? You're not going to pull Kiffin in the middle of the season. Why not fire him at the end of the season?

It's better than Stricklin doing it. It will probably be another shitty hire. I don't have much faith until we get a decent AD. His main job is to keep Todd Golden happy.
