That is the way it has always been down there. Even during the Jimmy Johnson years. The only way they will pack out the stadium is the opponent.
And Louisville can't do that.
Florida State, Florida, Notre Dame - when they play in Miami they can cover up the lack of local fan interest. Other than that, they will be fortunate to fill up half their stadium.
Now, having said that, the core of the Miami fans are as rabid as any I have ever seen at any level. They just aren't that numerous.

They screwed up moving off campus. Should have renovated the OB. That said when fsu Clem nd come to Miami they pack it out

No. I remember living in NC at the time, every black person I knew not living in Alabama was a U fan.
At least every black dude in the USMC then was a Miami fan.

The Orange Bowl was never on campus either. And it was in a total @ss of a location.
Their campus is stuck in Coral Gables. No room for a football stadium anywhere near that place. Now, they do have an on campus baseball stadium that's decent.
But they never moved football off campus. It has never been on campus, fwiw.
