If Tennessee wins they will be 4-17 vs Alabama since 2005. Was Fulmer worth it?

What's everyone in the SEC's record against them in that time period? Id be stunned if anyone is even at .500. You threw in a few non saban years because fulmer started losing to even non saban coached alabama at the end but id say my guess will still be true.

We both limited the scope. I just limited it reflect recent reality.

Fulmer had like 10 wins I think.

Tennessee since 1961 only has 10 other wins.

So it was basically the only time they've had real success in the modern era of football. And the other wins mostly come at times when Alabama was struggling, not because Tennessee was great.

For example, they won 4 in a row in the late 60s. That's when Bear almost got fired until he switched to the wishbone, then Tennessee went winless from like 1971 to 1982. Then of course in 1982 Bear retires. Then Tennessee wins 4 in a row(1 against Bear in his final year, 3 against Perkins).

From 1986 until 1995, Tennessee doesn't win again. Then Alabama started getting in NCAA trouble, and Fulmer has his run. Tennessees run then ends again after Alabama stops getting in NCAA trouble, losing 17 or whatever in a row. They finally get a win the year before Saban retires.

Tennessee is mostly a measure of when Alabama is down.
