We also played in a Rose Bowl for the NC, beat USC in the Cotton Bowl and won the first ever Sugar Bowl!

In the pantheon of bad, shortsighted decisions made by schools in regard to athletics, Tulane’s decision to quit the SEC is number one. Numero uno. Second place isn’t even close. It altered the trajectory of that school for eternity.
All they had to do was be Vandy. Take your beatings and cash the checks.
