Where did all the ranters who predicted that Ty Simpson would be hot garbage disappear to? You couldn’t swing a dead cat in August without hitting one. Now they can’t be found. Was there a mass die off? Are they hiding in Willie’s basement? Come out and show yourselves so we can perform a wellness check.

Pretty early to be crowning him.
It was also too early to bury him and alabama after the FSU game.
They still have @ Missouri, Tennessee, @ South Carolina, LSU, Oklahoma, @ Auburn left.

I mean, he played a near flawless game against UGA. But then again, Smart was Saban’s butt buddy and has a soft spot for Alabama due to him being DC there. He’s 1-6 against them all time. He can beat any team not named Alabama.

In this day and age and the trajectory of the team. If we don't start him then he will likely transfer.
Obviously if they think Mack is the future then so be it.
Don't think the staff is too concerned with Simpson in the grand scheme

Im telling you Ty Simpson and this defense means a minimum of six loses.
We need to build for the future.
The boy is a not a gamer. He's a practice field superstar.

My wife said Ty Simpson looked like a different person sitting on the sidelines...a grown man...but looked like a scared kid with his helmet on while on the field...not even the same person. You know...she was right. Conspiracy?

I know it won’t happen but instead of finishing 8-4 or 7-5 with Simpson I’d like for the coaches to just start Russell and see what we have. Maybe it’ll save his job if there is a future

Yup. It's why I wasn't as excited for the season as I usually am. I had always heard the game moved too fast for Simpson. Give Mack a shot!

To be fair, I can't fault fans of other teams for assuming that we weren't playing the best qb on the team the last two years. Half of Alabama fans were saying the same thing (despite Saban's history of refusing to play the best qb)

This was the Oklahoma game without Milroe. Simpson is marginally better, but he isn't good enough to win the games we lost last year
But yes, FSU was an extremely bad opening game for everyone. He's really built some confidence now. I'm not yet ready to claim he's top 3 nationwide like some are doing, but he is definitely top-3 SEC
