At a closer analysis Vandy has us beat in the trenches, fully on offense vs our defense and even special teams.

I'm certain we have too much pride to even think about rushing the field but if there ever was a game where we don't have much to gain vs losing a lot against a perceived "weaker team" (and by weaker I mean being a battle of names), this is absolutely it.

Bama's worst nightmare (and indeed any blue blood team's).

The only things in our favor:

- Ty Simpson has emerged as a very good QB.
- Vandy is on the road (for whatever that's worth -- under DeBoer, we generally play well at home).
- We have very good receivers.

That's it. In my opinion, revenge doesn't win you games. It never has though it may seem like it sometimes. Rather, better play wins games. Perhaps revenge can motivate us to better play. Who knows?

Vandy should win this game by 7 or even 10 points. This is not even the same team that Milroe and co. lost to. They're at least a full level above.

Should be a nail-biter actually and I'm really looking forward to it. Just not looking forward to a loss which if I was betting, I would bet on Vandy.

If Bama's talent is equal to or better than Vandys what would cause us to lose? Defensive coaching

Bama's game planning meeting: Deboer..well guys looking at our talent level and skill players we should win this game. Wonder why everyone thinks we'll lose?
Entire coaching staff looks at Kane.

Not even in the ballpark, it's enough to know that this would be an upset if Bama wins.

I'm sure Vandy is capable of the win. They are a good team, but it sounds like you are trying the Lou Holtz method of poor mouthing your own team and glorifying your opponent.

I'm not Lou Holtz or a football head coach. I promise.

If vandy wins, they will rocket up the ranking. If bama wins, they'll likely start where they are. Who's the underdog again??

Bama run defense is AWFUL. If I'm vandy, I don't plan on passing the ball much.

Vandy beat South Carolina without Sellers. Hey Vandy did also beat Va Tech!? But Old fuggin' Dominion also beat Va Tech!

Vandy is going to get smoked this weekend in T-Town.

Vandy is much improved these past two years but they haven't played anyone with a pulse this year yet. Very overrated team that's about to come back down to reality after this weekend.

Your blue chip ratio is infinitely higher. From a sheer talent perspective you should win in a cakewalk. If not, then it's time to fire Deboer and hire Clark Lea yourselves. Zero excuses Gump.

No, I'm not buying Bama talent & brand in this one. Vandy has one way to win...and Bama has the talent 3-4 deep to stop the run straight up, and cover their recievers (ie Stowers). Even if Bama had to load the box, their 3 and 4 deep on the depth chart can still cover Vandys guys. Vandy on D is stout, but I'll have to see it with my eyes if the stuff Bama on the run, but Vandy dbs can't cover Bama WRs. PERIOD Simpson is the best they will have seen so far, with respect to Sellars to didn't finish the game. Add in last year's fate...Bama will be prepared, ready, and motivated. My only doubt is will Bama allow Vandy to get a backdoor cover in garbage time. Gut says yes, and there might be a reason no SEC QB has talked trash about Bama in my lifetime...and after this game...I don't any other SEC QB will for quite a long time

I'm making a Pavia voodoo doll. I'll be sticking it with needles the whole game. How many points is Vegas giving us? oh, wait.

We'll see if the rat poison you're offering Vandy works. I anticipate an exciting game, ball control-based game, low-mistake game, would be really interesting if Vandy forces Ty into his first mistakes of the season. Whichever team controls tempo wins, period.

That said, Bama's a solid home favorite, won't be an upset should they win which I predict they do.

All kidding aside, Alabama's injuries on defense especially on the D line and Russaw are a big problem. We've been below to much average defensively against the run so far this season. We're strong against the pass though.

Vandy has a capable if not good defense but they are completely legit on offense. They are more than capable of absolutely dominating the time of possession while consistently scoring against our defense. They key for Alabama is holding them to field goals instead of TDs and jumping to an early lead.

Then why was it an upset last year?

It'll be an upset if Bama loses this year, too.

And Vegas has us by 10.... so, you can say whatever you want.
