It worked very well the last time they did it, at night, vs Bama. Well, for the good guys anyhow in 08. Maybe it will rain in Athens as well like 15 and the score could possible be 41-7 at half. I dont know.

Cheers

That's cute and everything, but every night game at Sanford Stadium has been a blackout for at least the last 4 or 5 years.

After we fell asleep up 31-0 at halftime, yall snuck in a few late gimmie TDs. 41-30 I believe with it 41-17 with 6 minutes left in the 4th.

The fans have been blacking out every night home game for a long time now. We just don’t get that many night home games. I really wish they’d bring back the black jerseys too for rare situations but they won’t.

Bama alters trying to talk shite about games from 20 years ago, very sad what you've been reduced to.

Yall dont have to blackout, unless you lose, cause Bama owns Sanford and son stadium regardless of what uniform you wear.

I can talk shite about the last time Bama played in Sanford stadium ten years ago as well. 38-10 I believe, and your players jumping around talking trash when Bama came out to the field.

It's odd that Bama fans are more superstitious about this than UGA fans are.

UGA fans are against the black uniforms because we think our normal home uniform looks better. We're fine with fans dressing in black, but we don't like the black uniforms.

We've worn black jerseys a couple of times in relatively meaningless games and won since the Bama blackout. Last was MSU in 2020. I believe it was an attempt to keep the team engaged during the "few fans in the stands" covid year.

The entire history of black jerseys for UGA was 5 games.

2020 MSU
2018 La-Lafayette
2008 Alabama
2007/8 Havaii (sugar bowl)
2007 Auburn

UGA won 4 of the 5. At one point UGA was thinking about having one black jersey game a year, but fans preferred the red jerseys and were fairly vocal about it.

This will be the third Georgia/Alabama game in Sanford Stadium in the last 17 years and the first since Kirby Smart has been coach.

If you want to go all the way back to 2008 just for the purposes of creative shite talking, we might as well go back 5 years before that when Georgia knocked 2 Bama quaterbacks out of the game in 5 minutes.

...as they should be.

The only acceptable alternate uniform is red pants with the white jerseys when on the road.
