UGA, Texas, LSU and Alabama.
Ole Miss just misses the mark somehow.
Dark horse is South Carolina
Auburn, Florida and Oklahoma would not be shocking.
Right now it looks like LSU for certain and on the fence with UGA due to opponent. Texas and Alabama losing is a bad look but that and one more loss doesn't keep them out of the playoff. 2 more and they are living on the edge but name recognition and competitive losses will probably get one or both in. Neither look worthy in game 1 but the same can be said about everyone but LSU due to their opponent. Auburn and South Caroliina both had solid wins.
Not playoff worthy but Mississippi State beating Southern Miss is at least praise worthy....lots of SEC teams have struggled over the years with Southern Miss.

FL, GA, LSU and OK
I think FL, LSU and OK can get in at 9-3 with their schedules unlike most of the other playoff contenders. If others go 9-3 I think they will need to make the SECG and win it. TX and Bama if Bama can recover are not in bad spots to make the SECCG at 9-3 if they have the tiebreaker to get in as they would be 6-2 in SEC play and the tiebreakers don't care about a non-conference loss.

I’m very happy that no one is claiming we’re good enough to make the playoffs because that would be stupid.

after last year, definitely 4
that fourth one is gonna be wild though if the committee truly values the schedule component which could very well see sec teams leapfrogging each other based on who has the more difficult schedule not necessarily head to head or # of losses

Did A&M regress despite returning a bunch of production on O & D?

I could see Texas recovering to be 4th team. Or a 9-3 Florida can sneak in.

They still consider head to head for making the playoff. Will be interesting if 2 teams are up for a spot and one had clearly the better resume but lost head to head and both teams were say 9-3. I could see Ole Miss getting in this position with their schedule.

UF’s schedule is too brutal for the playoff this year. Brutal

UF, UGA, Texas are in
Tennessee, ATM, and LSU either last team in or out (1 of those three in, 1 out)
SC, AU and Mizz could be spoilers or even darkhorses. AL could also be a spoiler. Or a DeSaster.
