I think depth will be a huge issue now. So who has good depth? Georgia, Texas , Clemson, Ohio State, LSU..
The day of any underdog having much of a chance to win it is gone now. You need to win too many games in the playoffs now so you will need depth no doubt. Like March Madness..there will be upsets..but usually a 1-3 seed wins it all.

A little bit of luck that depth stays healthy doesn’t hurt these days either.

Ohio State won it last year because they had players like Smith and Downs. Depth ain't saving you if one of those guys goes down.
And the depth issue is actually an advantage those teams used to have that is less of one today because of NIL. You knew you'd have another stud step up at almost every position no matter who they were replacing in the past if you were Bama or OSU. Not really the case anymore.

Its harder than ever for *anyone* to have good depth. No one wants to sit on the bench when they could go get paid life changing money to start for a P4 team that will still get them looked at by NFL scouts. Just look at how many teams have a 5* in their commit class this year. Its not longer 4-5 teams hoarding everyone
The sport is headed towards extreme parity, more important to have a gameday coach than a recruiter now IMO. Gator fans are going to miss having Mullen
