Sark does not vote in it. I expect many coaches do not either.

Why would anyone trust a coaches poll???? It’s mostly Asst AD’s voting for the coaches. But… let’s say a coach actually votes himself. He’s totally immersed with his own team and the team he’s playing the following week. They aren’t watching other games like fans or sportswriters do. How would any SEC coach know how good or bad any team in another conference is when they aren’t paying a damn bit of attention to them.

The appropriate title would be....

"Do you trust any national poll'?

Polling has become an exercise in laziness...Coaches, Journalists, you name it.

No. It's the worst poll out there. The whole premise is stupid. Coaches don't have time to do the poll, much less watch all of the other teams play each week. So, they push it off on some staff member who also doesn't have time to watch all of the other teams play each week.

No. It should be called the low level athletic department staffer’s poll.

It’s practically a given they have somebody else fill them out. WHO can watch all others games & prepare their team EACH WEEK?

Everything before that is conjecture

Coaches rotate through it. Here in a year or two he'll be voting again.

The CFP Poll in early November is much more accurate, since it is based on actual performance through most of the season. There are still some media prejudices, but until then, all polls are for water cooler conversations.

Old, C- material. But, I realize constantly trolling the board makes it hard to keep up with college football.
