Checked a few Bama message boards and topic of Sayin starting for OSU is being talked about. The overwhelming consensus is "hope Ohio State wins."
Now that multiple teams get in the playoff, I guess the days of "SEC! SEC!" are kinda over?

The thinking is the more Texas loses, the better it is for Bama. Since Bama doesn't play Texas, they don't need them to be ranked high.

He wasn't going to start at Alabama. He came to Alabama to play in Saban's offense and he retired so he transferred elsewhere.

I don't think many people view them as SEC. Ditto for Oklahoma and even Missouri and A&M.
