The outrage about playing nine conference games

That tells me all I need to know about most of your fragile mindsets.
Vols want to play the best as many times as possible. That's the difference between you and us. Vols want all the smoke and then some.
I say we add LSU and Texas as our 9th game each every other year or just give us LSU every. Single. Year.
We love beating up on the tiggers and we certainly would really love a chance to show on the field who the real UT is.
Vols GBO

Who is outraged?
We already know. You're pre-season Champs annually.

East Tennessee State…the best at all times.

Aubie took the offense season crown this year and it's not a debate. Even more motivation to win it all on the field. No one out motivates our fan base. Damn war pigeons have upped their game.

I’m a fan of it!
The Covid year of a schedule of nothing but SEC teams was a treat. There were no cupcakes and it was the epitome of the grind of the league.

All this means is that there was an agreement between the conferences and the CFP committee for the SEC to do 9 games. So, it was only done because they agreed to what the SEC wanted and a higher priority on SOS.

"As the week began, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M wanted 9 games, and Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt wanted 8.
South Carolina made it clear it would vote with the majority, and/or for the best interest of the league. Meanwhile, there were 4 outliers: Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas.

This is why we'll never win a Football championship as SC...

Whatever crybaby. I think facing more quality in conference competition is only going to make the season more entertaining. And we will get soon really good extra matchups out of this.
I hate watching my team against cupcakes because it serves nothing except a nice practice session maybe.
For a fan, it's always a lackluster weekend of CFB though if your team is facing say UTEP or East Carolina or some cupcake like that. That's not what I'm paying money yo watch personally.
We should all be very happy about this imo.

Serrneaux, at least you are consistent with your trolling through your multiplying alters. But in the spirit of your troll, where is this "outrage" of which you speak? Anyone who follows college football knew this was coming.

The ACC is going to have to adjust to 9 games. Their SOS is already G-5 strength.

Not sure who confirmed this, but Georgia does NOT want 9 SEC games.
In reality, statistically speaking, the teams that will most likely be screwed by this are Missouri, A&M, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Alabama and Ole Miss.
So, it is no surprise to see Saban pivot on this issue.
Kentucky, Miss State, Arkansas and Vandy can still get to six wins to qualify for a bowl bid, but it will have to include at least one win against a top tier SEC program.
Sankey is strictly a revenue slut.
ESPN has a firm grip on his crotch.

Why would anyone be outraged about one less cupcake game?

Vols have almost always played a very tough strength of schedule each year. Last year was one of our lightest in a while because of how down Oklahoma was and others on our schedule.
I can't control who we play unfortunately. Would love to see LSU and Texas as permanent opponents though for us every year.
I do agree that every conference should be forced to do the same though.

Just to spite Auburn. Bama usually wins that one.
