Can someone remind me of Texas’ last football national championship?

The time that passed between the collapse of the Soviet Union and UTa's last football NC is several years shorter than UTa's last football NC and today.



But it's still much more recent than UTk's last football NC.

Arkansas has also been in the conference for over 30 years.

Whose side are you on anyway?

This is a prime example of the Texas fans’ delusion. He still thinks his program is better than other SEC programs despite not having the championships to back it up. The championships are precisely how programs are measured. That’s like saying, “I’ve never understood the people that look at their bank statements/portfolios to determine how rich they are.”

After baseball season they told us conference championships don't matter so we don't even have to concern ourselves with the conference trophy.

Bigger question is, how long has it been since an LSU fan mentioned the 2019 team?

You can measure your program however you want. But other people (especially in the SEC) measure the greatness of a program by national championships and that's not going to change. So get used to your program being measured by other SEC fans by your school's national titles. Don't worry about being insurferable. Go right ahead, you'll fit right in. Trust me, you haven't seen insufferable. If your program doesn't start winning NC's to backup your fanbase's ego and bravado, you'll get insufferable beyond anything you can dish out.

Sure. This is how we are. This is how we've always been. The whole identity around the University of Texas is arrogance. It's why the Aggies called us Teasippers a hundred years ago. It's the biggest reason why we're so easy to hate.

So clamor on about whatever it is you want to clamor on about. We're still going to believe we're better than you. Georgia has their best success under Kirby Smart and suddenly they're a historic powerhouse, when really you're the same as all the other SEC schools. You let Alabama carry your water and chant "SEC" in a great example of cult worship because you couldn't accomplish anything for yourself.

It's going to be fun punking you guys. Probably my highlight of the entire offseason has been watching Georgia fans go out of their minds regarding Texas. You can be a part of the rabble.

We're talking SEC titles. We've been in the conference one year. We have a new AD and head coach. I don't give two fricks about what happened between Mack and Sark.
Sark may never win won, but we're closer than we've been in a long time. That's all I could ask for.
The only consistency on this board is the fact that you'll continually move the goalposts depending on how successful we are in a given sport. Love it.
