Raider news: Will Henry Ruggs play again?
Since Alabama has never and will never have an NFL team, the next best thing would be enjoying a comeback of a hometown favorite, repping Tuscaloosa as he seeks to don the black and silver.
A gentleman from Alabama that I work with has mixed feelings about it, but he is more of a cat person; he’s excited at the possibility and ready to let bygones be bygones.
How do Bama fans on here feel?
Discuss.

I would be for it if 90% of his income is awarded to the family of the girl he killed.

I believe in the possibility of redemption, but I have never been a fan heinous crimes like these being cast aside so easily. Four years is too short.
I never believed that Vick should have been allowed to play professional football again and I feel the same way about Ruggs. If the courts let him out next year, I'll disagree with it but certainly will have no say in it either - but I prefer he remain an object lesson on how NOT to handle fame and fortune.
Ruggs had an amazing future in front of him and instead he squandered his own and stole the future away from a young woman. In a just society he would not end up a millionaire.

Still don't know how Brian Kelly kept his job and still got a job after getting
That kid got killed in the lift.

At least he didn't take the coward's way out like LSU hero Kyren Lacy.

I believe if you serve your time you should be able to move on and make a living. As long as the living is legal, I don't care what you do. If Ruggs' skills will allow him to be an NFL player once again, he should be allowed to play. If Ruggs has changed his life he can do more good for the aggrieved family and society by being in a high profile job than otherwise.

Wow, your Shift Supervisor at Raising Cane's sounds pretty conflicted.

You just compared a man murdering a human to a guy running a dog fighting operation…..which by the way is shitty, but not in the same universe as murder.

I'd say if a team gave Donte Stallworth a shot after something similar, they will Ruggs a chance but I think things have changed.

I think he should be banned from ever playing in the NFL. Driving 156 mph with a 0.16% BAC and killing someone isn't a mistake. It's a choice.

Yeah. They're over it now.

No eligibility left no care.

This. If not, Ruggs can ride the back of a garbage truck for the rest of his professional life.

It’s sad that you had to point that out.

Pretty good trade off. I think he should do every day of his sentence.

Similar charges but the circumstances weren't similar.
