If he wasn’t at a school like Arkansas he would probably have 3-4 nattys. He wasted his talents.

Yeah talent and facilities have really held him back.

Imagine what he could do at a school like say Florida State.

He’s had 20+ years to create the attitude and demeanor of LSU on the big stage and it’s clear he’s melt city.

He’s a top coach for sure and earned the right to leave when he wants. How much longer does he want to do this though

He’s the Brian Kelly of baseball.

Being a "nice" or "good, classy guy" that does it the right way, etc doesn't get you championships in college athletics. It makes you a good role model and leader of young men, but that nice-guyness absolutely rubs off on your team when you need a killer instinct to put a foe away and come in clutch, unflappable.

I've been trying to think of the last "nice classy guy" head coach to win a championship in any of the big 3 sports, and the best I can come up with is Orgeron in 19? He's obviously not the definition of "classy" but I think everyone would say he's a nice guy, non-a-hole

You missed this part as bad as your left fielder missed a fly ball

You are correct Dave didn't take a single at bat or throw a single pitch all week long.

Orgeron is definitely not in the same category of a-hole coaches like Saban, Day, or Smart. He was just a regular dude, a players coach, unlike the rest of those.

Do you disagree with that assessment?

I think it’s just circumstance. He had his team in position to win in 2018. DVH didn’t drop the fricking pop fly.

He made good decisions in managing staff and lineup the whole tournament. Not his fault the Hawaiian ss went full retard and chose not to turn two to end the game

Seriously? Ed Orgeron had domestic abuse charges and almost surely woudl beat the frick out of anyone in front of him

DVH is Mike Martin. He'll have (has had) a long and very successful career. He's done things other coaches will only dream of achieving. Unfortunately, he'll probably never reach the pinnacle.

Orgeron could have likely won multiple championships at LSU. His problem is he didn’t know how to handle the success. Shortly after our natty he divorced his wife and was only concerned with being a celebrity and banging chicks half his age. Moral of this story is the pussy always wins. I liked Orgeron, but you can’t be bringing your whores and their kids to practice and letting the kids run routes and disrupt practice while trying to run a top level football program.
