Lives of the Monster Dogs

It’s been years since I read this entertaining novel about glamorous, wealthy dogs in top hats who move to New York and become a thing.
I remember the book fondly, and I was curious to know if anyone else is familiar with it.

I read so long ago that I can’t remember a lot. I know I didn’t get it especially the gotterdammerung at the end. I’m not ashamed to say that it went over my head. I may still have it around here and if I do I think I’ll reread . Being older may help me grasp the point of book.
