They took down the #1 seeded Texas team after trailing all day in the quarterfinals. O'Berry managed to win the final 3 holes to flip her match and Sansom a true freshman from Hoover managed to birdie the 20th hole to win it for Auburn.
Heading to the Semi's
Playing Wake Forest in the Semi's.
The girls rallied from a 4 down and 3 down deficit on the back 9 to win it.

Sansom is from Pike Road, played golf out of Wynlakes. Went to school at Parks Crossing in Montgomery.

This seems improbable.

Per Auburn website,
FWIW, I didn't believe it either.

Personal Full name is Tyler Brooke Sansom ... Parents are Dawn and Doug Singleton ... Has two siblings, Tison Singleton and Caroline Singleton, both of whom are Auburn graduates ... Home course is Wynlakes G&CC in Montgomery ... Is a first cousin of 1971 Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan.

I read the link provided, but I'm not sure I believe that her and Sully share a set of grandparents.

Not first cousins then.

quote:Still first cousins. Just 1st cousins once or twice removed.
Not first cousins then.
First cousins share the same grandparents. Second cousins share the same great grandparents. Third cousins share the same great-great grandparents.
Different generations are the removed. Your first cousin's child is your first cousin once removed (your grandparents are that person's great grandparents, etc.)

Lost in the Semi-finals... the officials missed a foot wedge by Wake Forrest to give them the victory
(Just kidding on that part)
