Why does Cubelic seemingly not support AU as other alumni and players do?

If you listened to Cube on 3 Man Front you’d realize after awhile he still loves Auburn. FWIW, I agree that I’d like to know how they formulate who is the best pass blocking lineman.

Just look at Cube’s twitter pic.. him walking his daughter onto the field at Jordan-Hare while she’s wearing an orange bow

I obviously don’t know but I’m sure he tries to appear as impartial as possible. And to be fair he’s not really shitting on Auburn in this photo. He’s a former lineman saying he doesn’t agree with something about a lineman. You can support auburn without being a homer

I followed him for a long time on twitter, but had to quit because he filled my timeline quote tweeting replies to everyone. I never got the impression he didn't support Auburn, or went out of his way to bash AU. He always told it like it was, no matter what. I liked that about him, and I think this tweet is just him saying he doesn't understand where or how that number is formulated, but his eyes told him otherwise.

He definitely is impartial but he is ABSOLUTELY a HUGE Auburn fan. I follow him closely on Twitter. You don't remember that rant where he called out the Auburn players for complaining about playing time? That rant was very much impassioned by his love for Auburn.

besides, the results are there on film. do you want the guy to go full homer? nobody would respect him then, either.

Cole seemed to go out of his way early on to show his impartiality by knocking on AU. That’s just part of the gig in obtaining credibility. Pollock did it a lot with uga too. Cube has reeled it back a lot and you can tell he’s an AU fan - but he still is gonna give an honest take.

Fair enough. I've only listened to his show a few times. I'm not that big of a fan. Rather listen to the Roundtable.

Yeah I think he's so much of a fan that he gets even more angry than people on here when we look inept and do dumb stuff.

Actually of the 53 pressures given up by Auburn guards and tackles, 69 percent of them came from the right side of the line. The left side, both Tega Wanogho and Harrell, held up their end for the most part.

Interesting comment I saw. Horton has regressed and Discoll is not very good.

His tweet where he claims a Clemson staffmember told him that Clemson spent much of their bowl practices preparing for Bama didn’t sit well with me. He pretty much ticked off the ND and Clemson fans and the Bammers were like well that explains it.

And there is the difference.

Auburn players in media go out of their way to bend OPPOSITE of Auburn to be "fair" and "neutral".

Whereas Bama players buy into to "Mama's" program 100% and do whatever they can to influence future players to follow their path.

Same as it ever was. Which do you think is "smarter" btw? I know what my answer is.

(P.S. Same with graduates of Auburn's so-called "journalism" program, the most notable personalities being famous Auburn haters.)

Wtf are you talking about? As far as I know we have more big time sports announcers than they do and they all promote AU. Barkley alone is bigger for AU than the top 10 Bama player/media guys put together

He has to be more neutral on television, but he is certainly pro-Auburn on the radio show he does. He is also one of the best analysts on television or radio IMO as far as breaking down scheme. Especially OL play. He's very good at his job.
