I remember when it was between us and A&M. Hindsight being 20/20 I am glad he didn’t sign with us. Would have been another failure of Gus to develop QBs even though I don’t believe any coach could save him

I don’t agree with this take at all. Mond deserves better.

Mond made a mistake not coming to Auburn. He'd be better at Auburn...you could make a case that his skill set would have helped the 2017 team. There is little doubt we'd of been a 9-10 win team last year with Mond.

The guy that put EJ Manuel in the nfl and made Christian ponder a top 10 pick?

The game has evolved. This ain't the early 2000's.

Wut, do you judge him on the only qb he’s had after jameis pretty much. He’s a great developer of quarterbacks, Jesus no wonder our fan base thinks Gus sucks

Yea. He's proven to be pretty average. It's not his fault it's hard to move with the game as it evolves.

Even with Famous, he won with D.

His offense is dated at this point.

i mean... he was 23/35 (66%) for 250 yards and 3 TDs

on what planet is that terrible?

Not only were both picks heavily criticized, neither player put up extremely impressive numbers while at FSU for a "Top CFB QB coach"

Gus put up just as impressive #s with Stidham as QB guru Fisher did with both Ponder/Manuel

Ponder

JR 2009: 2717yd - 14TD - 7INT - 68.8%
SR 2010: 2044yd - 20TD - 8INT - 61.5%

EJ Manuel

JR 2011: 2666yd - 18TD - 8INT - 65.3%
SR 2012: 3392yd - 23TD - 10INT - 68.0%

Jarrett Stidham
JR 2017: 3158yd - 18TD - 6INT 66.5%
SR 2018: 2794yd - 18TD - 5INT 60.7%

I think his skill sets don’t fit well with what Jimbo is trying to do at aTm but it’s one of those things we’ll never know. He won’t play at the NFL level.

Mond hasn’t been the problem. Offense is underwhelming though. Probably is Jimbo.

We dodged a bigger bullet with Jimbo.

I think Jimbo had major OL problems during the tail end of his career at FSU that screwed him. That was a gigantic red flag known before the 75 million dollar contract. His team quitting on him was another.
