why was it undeserved?
Don't get me wrong, this was a great game to have for the team, to the battle adversity/10pt deficit, fight through poor shooting and experience heavy zone defenses. When I say undeserved, I meant it in a "This performance would result in a loss vs a good team" way.
Ole Miss isn't a great team when healthy but they started the game shorthanded and only lost more guys along the way.
You just can't ignore that Ole Miss was..
-Missing their best player + veteran Deandre Burnett
-Lost starting PF early 2H due to injury (Hymon)
-Lost their starting C to foul trouble (Stevens ~13 minutes played)
-OM Player Fatigue - 3 players set personal records for non OT game minutes played

ONE game at a time. Basketball is a long season and bad refs abound... We need Wiley, I am praying he is allowed to play soon.

Moo St looks totally inept on offense against Florida. Which means they’ll probably be shooting 75% from the floor against us

LSU is taking it to Arkansas @ BudWalton
Well damn

Arkansas started slow last year but this has a different feel to it. They look mentally weak, quit easily, and give up huge runs at a time.
I can't believe it but I think Mike Anderson won't survive this and this might snowball on them

That is crazy.
Might be time to start taking MZ + LSU more seriously. Both have done better than I'd expect thus far

SEC is going to finish with 8 teams around 9 and 9 if it keeps going like this.

And the nice part is we only have to go 6-9 the rest of the way to be one of those 8

We need and should go 3-0 in the next 3 games. They are arguably 3 of our easiest ~6 games remaining

The first bus from AU has filled up and they're working in the 2nd now

Stop that type of thinking
We can go 11-4 and get a much higher seed

Hopefully they pull it off and make it a good experience. It could be incredible if we consistently had fans going to away games, AU provided buses would make that extremely easy

No such thing as an easy conference road game. We caught a bit of a break vs UT being sandwiched between Ark and UK. I expect both MSU and UA to be much more difficult games.

While I'd normally agree, MSU has had attendance problems even while they were on a big winning streak. After two ugly losses to OM/UF combined with a move of their student section this year, i can't imagine the Hump is going to be a hard place to play.

This one I'm more worried about. We have struggled playmaking guards and Bama should have a hostile environment for this game.
What I'm most worried about is foul trouble. Sexton/Ingram are #7/#125 in fouls drawn per 40minutes. If we get into foul trouble in the post early, that is going to be an extremely difficult game

The computers have liked Mizzou all season. Trip there will be tough.

Depends on the computers, but I wouldn't look too much into that. Most of Mizzou's ranking is based on credit for recruiting the Porters (Top 10 Recruits) and blowing out (30+pt margin) weak opponents. They also don't penalize you as much for losing away/neutral site games

I don't think Mizzou the team will be a hard out. Traveling all the way to MO for a midweek game is not going to be easy though.
There is a reason why of Mizzou's 30 conf wins only 5 are away games

Anyone heading over to Starkville on the school-chartered busses? Did they end up filling two?
Any non-students making the trip today?
