Unless it's a playoff, there's no such thing as a big bowl game anymore. Teams don't take them as seriously.
That said, I feel pretty confident that we're gonna stomp them. Doubt KJ plays, but Kam gonna run down their throats and Ryan Davis gonna have a huge game. Also expect Slayton to catch a couple deep balls.

Honestly, I never know what to expect from AU in bowl games. The month layoff never works well with us. Johnson is still hurt. Pettway aint playing. So, not sure whats different from the SECCG? UCF isnt Georgia, but they have a good team. Well motivated.
Not sure we are. I have zero ability to project this one. Could be dangerous. A win would be good momentum going into spring and next year. We are back at the Benz for U Dubb to start the 2018 season. Would be nice having confidence of a win in that building.

I believe it's important from a momentum perspective. 11-3 is significantly better psychologically than 10-4 with 2 loses to finish.
Winning a NY6 bowl game will help with recruiting.
Finishing top 10 will help with recruiting.

I consider it important to win and win impressively.

Anyway, I think I'm with old man Lanier on this one. It reminds me of 2009 UF. Lost the SECC and a chance to play for the NC. They took out the frustration on an undefeated Cincy team in the Sugar Bowl.

Another similarity... Brian Kelley had accepted the Notre Dame job prior to the bowl game... just like frost.

It's a game where the score counts. Every one of those type games is serious.
